“Up In The Air” - Official Trailer [HQ] (via watchCulturetainment)

AKA the movie everyone was abuzz around St. Louis about last winter (or was it 2 winters ago now…I can’t keep track of time anymore). “George Clooney is here! Filming a MOVIE!”

I didn’t notice any great STL shots in the trailer, but apparently, at the Toronto Film Festival, there’s quite a bit of an Oscar buzz (reports rft). Whatever that means.

Who am I kidding. This looks like a movie I will pay actual money to see and not wait around 5 years until it comes up in my netflix queue, at which point it will sit on a table gathering dust until we get around to watching it. Nope. This is for the going-out-to-see-a-movie-in-the-THEATER evening of the month.

It’s by the same guy that directed Juno and Thank You for Smoking. The trailer suggests it’s a bit … weighty, with all that baggage in your bag, which will apparently be weighed on one of those airport scales. New ones that fit bags with coffeemakers and couches, and with your relationships being the heaviest part of the load. I don’t think it’s a Mary Poppins bag. (Why don’t I have one of those yet??)

I certainly hope it’s not a “Wow, St. Louis is depressing” sub-themed movie. Ahem, film.
